The refusal of NYC/Brookfield Properties to clean the park this morning is the modern shot heard around the world. OWS was prepared to stand their ground much like the citizens of Lexington Massachusetts. Yes it might not be considered that significiant (in April 1775 who would have thought it was leading to revolution) but the struggle has now entered another phase. There will be victories and defeats but the ultimate outcome is not in doubt.
