the growth in campaign donations and the growth of the national debt. Go figure! Debt to GDP is up 181 percent since 1980. Congressional Campaign donations up 180 percent over the same period. Look into the growth of specific tax cuts and tax subsidies.

LIBERAL / CONSERVATIVE ?

Are these really the dynamics - they seem to justify centralism (the most horrible way to solve our problems) - when in reality the issue is extremist / moderate. Think about it ! Its not my original idea - Jon Stewart saw this has the dynamic back in 2002.
Centrism is a political strategy often employed that is contra to the public good, because all politicians are always influenced by special interests.
two sources of centrism - anti-extremism and the desire for intellectual honesty. Centrists sense the problem but vastly underestimate its scope. Which leads and supports to anti-rationality.

IF ALL DEFICIT SPENDING

IS STIMULATIVE (WHICH IT IS) THEN WE HAVE A POLICY PROBLEM - BECAUSE THIS STIMULATIVE SPENDING ISN'T DOING ANYTHING, maybe because its being spent on all the wrong things. Defense junk, subsidizing the old, the inefficient, yesterdays' energy, big agra-business. Since 1981 the US has run deficit spending for forty years. How bad has capitalism failed & this give away to the wealthy class been that it has produced very weak growth.

TAX CODE CREDITS/DEDUCTIONS ARE ALSO DOING LITTLE.
In essence, through the tax code, the USA continues to subsidize those with connections, old technology and the dismemberment of America. Why invest in a business when one can get a better return through the tax code without doing anything.
